In an age where so many politicians are in the pocket of the NRA or some other right-wing extremist group, it’s refreshing to see political candidates who are rejecting campaign contributions from corporate PACs. End Citizens United recently announced there are at least 185 Democratic candidates who refuse to accept donations from big corporations and almost half of them have already won their primaries. One of these political candidates is Conor Lamb, the US representative for Pennsylvania’s 18th Congressional District, who made headlines recently after winning a highly-contested race over his Republican opponent, Rick Saccone. Another candidate who is rejecting big money is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a rising star in the Democratic party after unseating the five-time incumbent, Joe Crowley, in the Democratic primary for New York’s 14th congressional district.
End Citizens United has also given its endorsement to Randy “Iron Stache” Bryce, a working-class ironmaker who is currently running for Wisconsin’s 1st Congressional District after initially planning to challenge Ryan for his position as Speaker of the House. Additionally, End Citizens United has thrown their support behind the Senator from New Jersey, Cory Booker, who is up for reelection in the midterms and may seek the white house in 2020. Back in February, he first announced his intention to reject any campaign contributions from corporate PACs. See more of End Citizens United on facebook
Kamala Harris has also been making headlines as of late not just for rejecting corporate money but also for being a big proponent of ending gun violence. So she is also a candidate to keep an eye on as the race for 2020 starts to heat up. She also concurs that the decision regarding Citizens United vs. FEC was incorrect. However, she is not up for reelection this year. Sheldon Whitehouse, on the other hand, will be defending his seat in the midterms and just recently announced his intention to reject any corporate contributions to his campaign. End Citizens United has since provided him with their endorsement. With the midterms looming large over Washington, the Democrats seems poised to take back the House, Senate, and Congress. So we wish them the best of luck.

While the media paints various pictures, it seems that the Republicans are a bit worried about this election cycle. Why would this be? Considering that they seemed to have the upper hand for the presidential election, the Democratic seats have picked up since then. Interestingly, these seats have picked up in areas that typically give the GOP their votes. This is all well and good until a great grassroots organization comes along and changes everything. This is what is happening with now with Beto O’Rourke versus Ted Cruz.
Because Texas is the state in question, it will be interesting to see how it turns out. This is why End Citizens United was formed. The goal of End Citizens United is to halt the influence of money in politics. Found on March 1, 2015, the group has been going strong since. ECU’s headquarter is in Washington, DC. At this moment, Cruz is leading the way with nearly 45 percent margin to win it, but it was Cruz’s own poll that stated he was nearly 18 percent ahead. What other sources gave credence to his poll? A Google survey at that time did in fact indicate that he was leading by 14 percent. Although slightly different from the other surveys, this one was in fact not so far off.

Back in July, polls were all showing some stark similarities. However, the University of Texas, whether or not devoted to one candidate in particular, was showing that there was a 5 point differential between the two. Is money a factor? End Citizens United hopes not.
One of the biggest assets Cruz has, is that O’Rourke is someone that the people of Texas know very little about. This can be a factor for sure, but this also means that people can vote out of ignorance just because they believe that one is a better candidate than the other without really knowing more about them. End Citizens United is committed to what is fair and ethical, without the involvement of funds to sway anyone toward any decision.

When Dick was told about the idea, he was against it. He believed that the sports and convention center was not a worthwhile investment.
Devos campaigned against the sports facility. His actions led to the formation of Grand Action. Grand Action is a group of business leaders who are responsible for the construction of many buildings including the Michigan State University Medical Schools, the Devos Performance School and the Devos Place Convention Center. These buildings are credited for changing the skyline in Grand Rapids.
Dick and Betsy Devos come from wealthy families. They have used their wealth to benefit other people. They are passionate about education and have pushed for changes in the educational system.

According to The Atlantic, there is such a thing going on called the demonization of philanthropy. This is going on on both sides of the political divide, with Democrats demonizing people like the Koch brothers and Robert Mercer, and people on the right demonizing people like George Soros. According to The Atlantic, conspiracy theories about right-wing philanthropists are more accurate in general than conspiracy theories about left-wing and progressive philanthropists.
However, this demonization is terrible for democracy. First of all, it can be used by dictators to stifle activism and prevent people from making philanthropic donations to promote democracy and freedom. It also stifles discussion about what role philanthropists have in our democracy and whether what they do is appropriate.
Philanthropy originally was not used to refer to large-scale giving. Instead, it was used to refer to large-scale activism, meaning the promotion of various ideals and universal ideas. As the progressive and reformist movements continued to grow, philanthropy referred to the promotion of their ideals. Philanthropy only came to refer to large-scale giving after the industrial revolution. When factories started to be built, and more and more people started to become abundantly wealthy, they started to give money to support universal ideals on a large scale, and it started to be referred to as philanthropy. This is despite the fact that the root of the world philanthropy really has nothing to do with charity. You have to admit that both of these definitions refer to changing society on a large scale for the better. For example, Rockefeller was a well-known philanthropist who used his wealth to promote various ideals.
The truth is that people have been demonizing philanthropists since the very beginning. Even before philanthropy came to refer to large-scale giving, people demonized activists who wanted to bring about changes in society for the better. Now that philanthropy refers to large-scale giving, people continue to demonize philanthropists.
It is true that the United States has been friendly to philanthropists. However, the political system and atmosphere in America are causing the demonization of philanthropists by providing the opportunity for extremists to demonize them. The political atmosphere is one of suspicion and one without any trust. People are too suspicious of each other. Suspicions have been developing for decades. Progressives were suspicious of philanthropists because they were worried that they would create a shadow state that would be stronger than the federal government. Conservatives have been suspicious of nonprofit organizations. Some anti-communists were suspicious of philanthropist for possibly promoting communist ideas and even caused Congress to start investigating communist activities.
This is all wrong and needs to stop. We must support philanthropists in the great work that they do. George Soros is an immigrant from Hungary and London and has worked hard to make sure that people who need help get the help that they deserve. He lived under the Nazis and really wants to help other people out.
The election of Republican and staunch conservative, Donald Trump to the position of President of the U.S. may have left supporters of Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton wringing their hands but one of her major donors has seen the election as the latest cause he must fight for the good of the world and George Soros’s lacrosse camp. The many demonstrations and protests taking to the streets of Washington D.C. in support of women’s rights and science were seen as the first signs of a rising protest movement bankrolled by Hungarian-born liberal, George Soros. Business Insider points out the work of Soros as a philanthropist stretches back many years and has empowered generations of people to seek a better future who came together in Washington to combat what Soros himself believes to be a rising right-wing influence on global politics.
George Soros has understood the problems caused by rising right-wing influences in politics from a young age when his life which started in Hungary in 1930 was blighted by Nazi and Communist forces. In 1943, Soros and his family were forced to hide their background as followers of Judaism when Nazi forces occupied the nation and began the Holocaust claiming more than 500,000 members of Hungary’s Jewish community. The Open Society Foundations reports the end of hostilities during World War II did not mean the end of the persecution of different communities in Hungary as the Stalinist era Soviet Union regime targeted Jewish peoples for their difference. It was during his time as a refugee in the U.K. where he attended the London School of Economics and studied the anti-fascism philosophical theory of the open society and read full article.
The rise of the elite political donor class has seen George Soros accused of fighting against the right-wing of U.S. politics in his attempt to provide undue influence on the work of Congress and The White House. Among the reasons, George Soros has been accused of working to provide an influence on U.S. politics comes as most political commentators are not used to the influence of a left-leaning political donor who pushes his political influence forward in a way similar to that expressed by conservative donors such as the Koch Brothers and learn more about George Soros. Conservative donors provide popular examples of political donations and influence with little response from the left-leaning media but the right-wing media have a history of attacking liberal donors such as Soros; many of the attacks on George Soros are thought to be rooted in anti-semitism as they take on many of the ideas and philosophical ideas expressed by fascist groups in the 1940s. George Soros has been called both an octopus and puppet-master in attacks by Fox News and Breitbart many described as being based on anti-semitic ideas and influences.

There is no debate on the fact that the country and the world have been experiencing less tolerance and more extremism over the past few decades. Acts of terrorism are on the rise and groups that seem to advocate for racism and white supremacy seem to have emerged from the woodwork to restore some form of status quo to the community. George Soros is one of the many businessmen who has been using their wealth and influence to try and create a better society, and his success can be verified by the open society foundations that he has supported over the years.
Soros came to the US in 1992 after he broke the UK bank in what has come to be known as the most significant short sale of the century. In the transaction, he made a billion dollars after a short sale of 10 billion pounds. He has managed to build his net worth over the last three decades and is now worth $ 25 billion. Besides being a massively successful entrepreneur, Soros has always been a supporter of social justice. It is estimated that he has given more than $6 billion to different charities in his life.
Perhaps the fact that Soros survived the Holocaust was one of the reasons that he became the ardent supporter of human rights that he is. Soros was forced to run away from Hungary during the Nazi occupation. It is these types of situations that he has avoided his entire life. He has always been in touch with groups of people who are oppressed or mistreated in one way or the other. In the 90’s, he rallied behind a group of students from Cape Town who had been denied access to college education and scholarships, simply because they were black. He was also strongly in support of a movement whose aim was to allow people to make their end of life choices.
George has also been directly or indirectly involved in the efforts to change the social and economic systems in Eastern Europe. He was particularly amazed by the collapse of the Marxist regime in the region. When it comes to the local politics, George has always believed that Liberals have the policies which have the best interests of the country at heart. He has been supporting different Democratic Party candidates for decades. In 2015, he came out very strongly in support of Hillary Clinton. His support for Clinton is based on the fact that he has always loved her politics. He believes that even though Trump won, he is not the best person to be a leader of the free world. He does not believe in the groups that support them and their ideologies. He says that the society has to keep such leaders on their toes at all times.
