The Chainsmokers – Diversity Going Forward

The Chainsmokers are a duo of two DJ producers named Alex Pall and Drew Taggart. Both do things their way in terms of making music that they want to play, make, and put out into the world; like in getting back to a Hip Hop genre as in a form of history repeating itself. The Chainsmokers work with producers and singers which they find very fun, and exciting. This duo has won a Grammy already, and just recently, Drew specifically, received a Grammy nomination.

This pair has been wildly popular for the past two years, their latest single is “Sick Boy”, which has been described as having dark undertones, unlike their previous work.

Taggart stated, “anger and frustration” went into the making of that song. The frustration was with social media, gossip, and criticism. This song was a form of reaction to it. It is important to Taggart that especially the younger crowds really listen to the words of their songs.

Pall has stated they do hold themselves to very high standards and “Sick Boy” was like taking off in a new direction. They have music they are very excited about and are having much fun doing it without all the drama. Having fun and enjoying it is where it’s at.

For sure they are, and, want to be different, and plan to keep the tunes coming. Tunes that make you feel good, and lift you up, this is what drives The Chainsmokers. Their work is always a reflection of what happens to be going on in their lives at the moment and the world around us.

They took some time away for about nine months and came back with, “Sick Boy” and are back now and plan to make some tracks that are just straight dance for a festival. They are at an in-between space that isn’t quite EDM nor quite pop, but you can bet The Chainsmokers will find the right balance.

Through The Life Of Ryan Seacrest

Ryan Seacrest recently moved to New York from Los Angeles to host the “Live” morning show alongside Kelly Ripa. He also organizes a nationally syndicated radio show, produces shows like Keeping up with the Kardashians, and the American Idol. He also manages his skin care and clothing line.

Morning Routine

He wakes up at 6 o’clock and gets ready by taking a shower, shave, and apply moisturiser on the face. Since it is the first time to work in New York, he has to check the weather forecast for the day. Ryan Seacrest’s dressing is very simple, involving just a pair of sweatpants, a zip-up hoodie, T-shirt, and Uggs. After getting ready, he takes matcha tea and coffee for its health benefits.

Physical Training

Men’s Journal mentioned that Ryan indicates in his early twenties, he felt guilty to work during work hours. He could even go for workouts at noon. However, he is now able to balance the tight schedule and training. In fact, he regularly involves a trainer to help him keep the routine. He indicates that running in the park is more fun than using the treadmill.

Daily Downloads

Part of the morning routine involves consuming overnight news and watching TV. The commute from home to the office takes approximately seven minutes. He prefers to commute because it gives him little time to read.

Learning to Triage

Initially, Ryan had a hectic and disorganised routine. He used to think that he could handle everything at the same time. However, through self-training, he has learned to take each task at a time. This has helped to put things in order.

Diet

Ryan Seacrest describes himself as a massive foodie and mostly vegan. He admits that he is only working to eat and drink wine, otherwise life will not be enjoyable. However, the work schedule is very tight on weekdays, and he can only manage to enjoy a good meal and wine during the weekends.

Association with The Phone

Although he (@ryanseacrest) has been advised to try meditation, it has been challenging due to attention deficit disorder. Recently, his mobile phone has become the most significant distraction. Putting the phone away, especially during trips, enables him to concentrate on other matters.

What is next for The Chainsmokers? An Interview with Alex Pall

Andrew Taggart was in college when he was introduced to Alex Pall; Alex Pall was already DJing in New York City at the time. The two were introduced through a mutual associate and became The Chainsmokers, a DJ/producer duo that has released several hit records since their introduction.

“It was a hobby of mine,” Alex Pall said in reference to DJing. Alex Pall had already made a career for himself as a DJ in New York City. “It was more just side work that I was really passionate about,” Pall confessed. Pall was in an art gallery when he realized that music was the center of his life, and it was time to take it seriously.

Andrew Taggart first became truly invested in the music world after posting a couple of his songs to Soundcloud. Eventually, Taggart caught the eye of Interscope Records and began working as an intern. Taggart was here working at Interscope when he was introduced to Alex Pall.

Both Pall and Taggart knew from the start that their partnership would be a success. “It was mostly about what we liked musically and what we were into growing up,” Alex Pall said about their first series of conversations. “It became a chat about how drive and ambitious we were.” Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart both wanted to be a known entity in the music industry. This drive is what has turned The Chainsmokers into a sensation.

Alex Pall confessed that due to their choice of genre, it is hard for people to take them seriously. The EDM-pop music genre is generally seen as simple dance music, but almost any music can be danced to. Even though The Chainsmokers do not typically perform their own vocals, they do write their own music. Their music is a representation of how they see the world; it is a glimpse into the lives of Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart, despite most people simply seeing it as dance music.

The methods of song production changed for The Chainsmokers when Andrew Taggart wanted to sing on “Closer.” Alongside Halsey, Taggart provides the vocals for the first ever Chainsmokers song. With just drastic changes already in effect, the future of The Chainsmokers is always a mystery.
