David McDonald’s role in growth of OSI Group

Mr. David McDonald, known by many as Dave was born and raised in Northern Iowa. He graduated from Iowa State University in 1987 with bachelor’s degree in animal science. Upon, McDonald joined OSI Industries where he began his career. Since then, he has worked his way up to being the president and chief operating officer.

McDonald is actively engaging in Agricultural Entrepreneurship Initiative where he offers support to students in conjunction with OSI group. He is also helping his community through Alpha Gamma Rho. He is a family man, wife Malinda and six children living in Warrenville.

McDonald’s role in improving OSI Group

OSI Group is an international company having its headquarters in Aurora, Illinois. The company has over 50 branches in 17 countries that supply processed protein products such as pizza, sausage links and beef patties to other businesses. They serve food giants like Starbucks, McDonald’s, Papa John’s, Yum, Burger King as well as Subway.

For more than 20 years now, OSI Group has been part of China economy where it has eight processing factories. Through McDonald’s leadership, OSI Group has launched a strong poultry processing wing in China and partnered with DOYOO Group to form DaOSI, their third poultry production operation in China market.

The OSI Group has also opened beef operations in Poland, and a new feeds mill in Shandong Province. They have also ventured into Indian market where they have a new plant producing frozen foods. And other milestones in Geneva where they provide branded and private-labeled froze beef and in Hungary where they have a large cold storage area besides their existing business in Babolna.

McDonald has ensured that all the company’s regional operations are conducted by OSI Group culture. The Group produces world-class products and services with adherence to constitutional laws, culture, consumer’s preference and a pool of talent.

OSI acquires Baho Food

Baho Food has its operations based in Germany and Netherlands, where they have over five operating stations. The company deals with deli meat, fast food, and snacks. OSI Group acquired a controlling stake in Baho Food. McDonald viewed the move as their chance to reach broader Europe market and to serve the growing consumer base.
